Deux pierrots sagement regardaient, L'un assis, l'autre debout, Une blanche colombe aux ailes déployées, Survolant une mer peu déchaïnée, Leurs mains pour les deux repliées, Ne tentaient point d'attraper l'oiseau, Non ils la regardaient en pensant, Mon Dieu, une colombe sur l'eau comme c'est beau ! Two Pierrots wisely watched, The one sitting, the other standing A white dove with outstretched wings, Flying a little sea rough, Their hands folded in two, No point trying to catch the bird, Not thinking they looked, My God, a dove on the water is beautiful!
