Description

I painted this when i was young in the early 1970's. amazing that young artists always using bright colors and they think it will be the world changing art of the future. So dumb. anyway that was me. I stop doing paintings around 1975 so I could get marry and get a job also. I took it back up in 2010. I find this in my dad shop behind a lot of stuff. it was all messed up with bugs on mold on it. i cleaned it all up. I had to take the painting off the wooden canvas frame and wash it down on both sides with water and soap and stuff that will kill mold. It came out good and I put the painting back on the wooden frame. I posted this to show how the years did for me in painting. i think I doing good. just got my computer back a few days ago. lol now I know why people will just go and buy a new computer. all it was was the window sever was bad and also the light was going out in the screen. Around $250 it costed me.

Wow!! Fierce and colorful!! I've seen dino bones and recreations both static and moving, but this somehow makes them come alive for me in a way no other depiction has.

Hey, it's good to see you back, Jock! This is better than anything I did back in the 70's! LOL! You have come a long way, my friend - your paintings are wonderful! You have your own style, and I for one, like it! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas, my friend!

this is superb.... before I read your writings, I thought this was something you just did or took a picture of someone else's work.... I would of never known You have to revive it. ... Most of my art I did in school was in my Mother's basement in a portfolio, in boxes.... one year it rained real bad and she had 4 inches of standing water - I would say a good 95% or better of ALL MY ART was ruined. and vibrant colors are not dumb - lol - why do you think people love the old star trek? ya think that show would of been as popular if they would of worn the next generation's uniforms? I love vibrant colors.

I really like this painting a lot Jock, and the bright colors you mentioned really do give it a bold flare. You are a very talented artist, and I always enjoy your paintings. So glad you were able to save this early treasure from your past and share it with us. Also great to hear you got your computer back. You are right, it would almost be cheaper to buy a new one after what they charge to repair an old one.

nothing dumb in using bright colors when young depends on the mood the one is in. man for 250 dolars a repair with a 100.- more you could have gotten a fairly good new machine. they ripp everybody off everywhere.same here in spain.

A fine style and very colorful creation, Jocko! You have come quite a ways from those days, but this example still stands the test of time! A most delightful image and fine comparison for your current art!
