Description

Ultra Fractal 5.04, with two-layers used. Fernand Leger met Picasso and Braque in 1908 and was deeply influenced by their new cubist style of painting. For some years he was content to follow in their footsteps but from 1917 onwards began integrating an interest in industrial technology into a tubular form of cubism. This picture attempts to show something of that style within a more fractal framework. During World War II Leger spent time in America where he taught at Yale, and possibly in California. His style of cubism (tubism) is more approachable than that of Picasso and Braque. There are many examples of his work to be found on the Internet. Cliff.
