Description
Captured 9/19/10, at Fort Tejon, near the city of Lebec, California, about 92 miles north of my place. I was there for a Civil War reenactment, which wasn't the greatest ever staged, mainly because most of the advertised participants didn't show up. But, despite that setback, I recorded some pretty good pics as it was.
Fort Tejon is an old Army outpost, originally established way back in 1854 to protect the settlers from the Indians.
The Yankee soldiers are using Sharps carbines against the Rebs.
Definitely worth a ZOOM.

This is a Civil War reenactment. Did these soldiers actually stand in small clusters , shooting each other, totally exposed, in plain site, using single shot,black powder...were these guys out of their mind. Nice captures :-}

Wonderful set of shots from this event, Harry; excellent focus and clarity of detail overall! I wonder what the guy with the sword thought he was going to do against rifles? Smart of him to stand behind the guys with firearms. War was (and still is) a brutal and uncivil activity indeed.

Yes, excellent picture - except for the DOOFUS in the Hawaiian Print shirt!! What was he thinking?!? (Oh wait...this is a film set, and he's the director running a rehearsal for the upcoming scene...right?)
