Description

In her last upload, Fujiko-san asked if it was a python... Well, this is definitely a python! LOL! If I remember, it's an albino python.. I photographed this handsome fellow a couple years ago at a drive-through wildlife park near Eureka Springs, Ar. Since this is the Year of the Serpent, I thought I'd upload this as my first of 2013. :-D Hope all my Rendo friends have an awesome new year! Lots of new stuff coming soon....

That was a great image Fujiko-san posted, I'm still chuckling about it and her expression. though I was thinking more along the lines of a spitting cobra..... Great response to Fujiko-san's upload, Rod

Hmmmmmmmm. I have seen snakes such as this one referred to as Indian Pythons. I didn't think it was an Albino because the eyes are not pink. But, not being a snake expert I did a Google search on Albino Pythons and, YUP, images of snakes just like this came up. Cool shot Rod.

It's still the year of the Dragon... year of the Snake doesn't start til Feb 10th. I think we're going to see more snake uploads this year than we did of Dragons last year - I've never liked snakes. My kids caught a gartner and we use to feed it goldfish - I've never liked snakes, so it's fitting that is the zodiac sign along with 13.

I'm suddenly reminded of Captain Beakey and His Band (with Hissing Sid)... The Greatest Animals in the Land Were Captain Beakey and His Band ... Don't ask me where that came from... :)

I saw a Python and immediately wondered if this one is named Monty. My brain spits stuff like that out at times. Aren't snakes such fun creatures. Did you know that if you rub their scales from the direction from tail to head, they get really miffed. Apparently it's quite an uncomfortable sensation to them. Not that I go around rubbing snakes the wrong way, but still...it's an interesting bit of useless information to know. This is a beautiful shot.

Yep, I agree! I like snakes, there is something about them.....Spiders though...NO! Not for me.. Although I did manage to gather enough courage to 'stroke' a Tarantula, it actually felt like a Hamster! Which is slightly worrying!! lol Beautiful shot mate, well taken through glass. Rob

This is a great capture of this beautiful python but I am so glad that I never have to see them for real in the wild. I like this one's colour but is it safe to be close to..... you see I would be useless finding one in the wild.

Great shot og this handsome snake, Rod!! Fine one for Fujiko, one very sweet and great artist here. :o) PS. Normally snakes don't have much expressions - but this guy or lady here looks a bit like: Oh, one more papparazzi?.. ;o)
