Description
A study rendered in Bryce 7 Pro using arlivre's excellent Classic Monoplane. I love this plane! I copied and pasted the image several times in Photopaint using different blend modes and filters to produce a more illustrative output.
The background is one of my cloud photos.
I enthusiastically endorse all the products and freebies used to make this image.

Im loving this body of work with the vantage air planes. Bravo!!!!1 Please can you tell me how you get that vantage look to the renders? You have a way of making your work look like add's from an old magazines from the 30's & 40's; are you useing some special filter in photoshop?

Thanks everyone. Steeleyes101: I copy and paste the image several times. In Photoshop you would call these LAYERS. In Photopaint we call them OBJECTS. Each layer/object has a blend mode adjustment and a percentage adjustment that you can change. I usually use a water color filter, find edges filter, and a sketch pad filter, or a pen and ink filter. I change the blend percentage and layer blend mode until I find the effect that looks good. You can also change the order of the layers in the stack. I usually have three layers plus the original background.

This is again a great picture.

I've found one can get similar effects more easily in Photoshop or GIMP by using the "Cartoon" filter (Mask Radius = 50, Percent Black = .1 or less), setting "Posterize" to 32 colors and adjusting the brightness (~70) and contras (~35).
UVDan
Thanks everyone and thanks to BardCoennius for the GIMP formula.
