Description
Really have no idea where to go with this one. I was trying to drag the eye diagonally across the screen from the closest girl to the boat.
I thought depth of field might look good, but all it seems to do is blur everything off focus really badly.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.

My eyes actually went the other direction - boat to closest girl. I guess that is still what you intended. I like the render. Maybe adding a touch of motion in the hair and/or clothing might give it a little more life.

I posted an image using 2 models and a ship on June 17th titled “Her Life was Amazing” (Image contains nudity) using this technique with 3Delight render engine. Select Default Camera in Scene tab and View. In Parameters, switch on both Depth of Field and Near DOF Plane Visibility. Alter the Focal Distance until you obscure the first model, now switch off the Near DOF and switch on the Far DOF Plane Visibility (you may have to move your mouse over the image for the effect to change). Increase the F/Stop until part of the ship starts to appear, make test render's exposing more of the ship until you are happy. Note - works when using actual props, will not work if you set an image as Backdrop in Daz, but the technique should apply to Reality. Hope this help’s.

Alowe49. Thanks for the tip. Got a little bit bored with this one so i haven't touched it until this morning. The near DOF and far DOF gives you some really good control over the focus. Thanks again. GrandmaT Thanks for the tip. Stupid of me, but you're right. Your eyes end up where the focus is ie. the girl in the foreground. I'll have to remember this in future.
