Description

An up close view of North Window Arch. There is also a South Window Arch right next to it & Turret Arch, which are all accessible via the same short, easy trail (called, appropriately enough, the Windows Trail) that is about a mile round trip. I will post a few more photos of these from further out... Please zoom

I know you don't like people in your images but in this one it is perfect and really shows the scale of the work.

Fantastic photography. Is this part of what is known as the 'spectacles'? I remember being here in May 2011.

I thought the same as Arturo ... it looks like an eye. Love the scale, with the person perfectly placed and in motion. Nicely done!

beautiful and perfect timing to show the scale. In zoom the top of the arch surface almost looks as if there were some pictographs!

jayfar - Yes, the North & South Window Arches are also known as the Spectacles, because they are aligned with each other in a way that makes them look like eyeglasses (or a mask). I do have some photos that show them that way, but I wasn't that happy with them. If I can salvage one, I will post it...

This is stunning. I like the human element in it hehe. You actually had a good workout taking all these photos. :)

This is a super photo and the one time you want a person in your photo to show off the size of this arch!!! Fantastic perspective!
