Classic coastline & cloudy sky shot & very close to being a natural b&w, with just a slight touch of pale yellow sunlight providing the only trace of color. Nice shot...

A perfect composition, Bill. I love these moments as the colour drains.

Mean and moody image.. The slightly cropped feel you've given us makes feel even more so.. Its a good shot mate, nice one! Rob

Masterful capture, Bill. Something about it reminds me of Ansel Adams. Well done!

Great ambience and ominous mood in this cold capture, Bill. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.

I'm listening to the soundtrack to The Hobbit as I write this comment, so I'll do my best to refrain from slipping into paroxysms of epic grandiosity. But I have to say, this is an epic photo. It fits disk two of the 2 CD soundtrack. Disk 1 has the quieter stuff on it. Disk two has the epic orchestral grandiosity with some really nice brass and thumpy-bits in the drum section. This image has a similar sense of size and expansiveness, only without those annoying hobbits running around! This is deliciously spare: everything looks so clean and crisp, and I love those island rocks in the distance. The "middle island" looks like it has a castle on top. This is amazing. That sky is dramatic too, and I cannot resist a wonderfully dramatic sky. This whole image is just super!

I have to agree with Chipka on this... epic indeed. (Oddly, I am also listening to that soundtrack at the moment.)
