Description
That's part of the old death strip of the Berlin Wall. Earlier patrolled here, the border soldiers with cars and sniffer dogs. Today it is a tourist attraction. A piece of German history.

Dramatic view my friend... truly a piece of history. In my humble opinion the day it stopped serving as a prison wall was also the day everything began to honestly change in the US as well. As new freedom was introduced there, here ours were being secretly stripped away.

Great composition, light, and selective coloring. VERY nicely done! I'm glad the operative word is "history." It's one of the good things in life I didn't think I'd live to see, but the world is changing and so much is getting better. Excellent image!

Outstanding point of view and appropriately grim atmosphere. I remember when it went up and the famous photo of the VoPo jumping over the wire into West Berlin. I wonder where those guards are now. I have my own piece of the wall. Hervorragende Standpunkt und passend grimmig Atmosphäre. Ich erinnere mich, wenn die Wand ging nach oben und das berühmte Foto des VoPo Springen über den Draht in West-Berlin. Ich frage mich, wo die Wachen jetzt sind. Ich habe mein eigenes Stück der Wand.
