Rhesus monkeys are native to Northern India and Nepal, and much of Southeast Asia and China, including the Angkor temple region in Cambodia. They live in wooded areas, but sometime during the day they come in the open areas and watch tourists and scrounge for food, in this case in the Angkor Wat area.
