Description
A bit more of the story of Sancha and Altayr....
Confrontation ~ Part 01
When Altayr first came to dance with Marco's troupe, Sancha's partner was Diego. Diego was also her lover. Diego was a hot-head, jealous and really terribly insecure...although no one could understand why. "It is just Diego being Diego," they would say and shrug it off. After a few weeks of practice sessions, Marco asked Altayr to dance with Sancha as well as two of the other girls. Diego went ballistic, shouting at Marco and telling Altayr he could not dance with Sancha - she was HIS partner, not Altayr's. Diego seemed to feel that he 'owned' Sancha. Diego didn't like Altayr anyway, because Marco seemed to have taken a real liking to this new one and Sancha would talk to him sometimes. He swore she was flirting with Altayr.
After that scene, Diego became worse and worse. He began to fight with Sancha - more than usual, yelling at her and accusing her of things she wasn't doing. He even slapped her a few times for 'lying' to him.
On a night when they were supposed to perform for the playhouse at the city down the mountain, Diego pulled a prima-donna stunt and refused to go. "Why don't you take THAT one with you - you're so happy with him!" he shouted at Marco. It was obvious, from his breath and his eyes that Diego had been drinking. So, Marco did take Altayr with them and he danced with Sancha...better than Diego ever did.
The talk the next day was very good for Altayr, but that made Diego even angrier. In no uncertain terms, he told Marco where he could go and what he could do with himself. Marco's reply was, "Fine, I was going to let you go anyway for the way you are acting. We do not act like this here in this troupe!" He said it without thinking of the ramifications for Sancha.
The day after that, Sancha did not come for practice and they had another show at the end of the week. Altayr knew in his heart something was wrong. It was not like her to miss practice. Marco tried several times to call her, but there was no answer. Altayr practiced with one of the other girls, but they were all worried about Sancha. Marco let them out early, as the sun was going down. He said he was going to Sancha and Diego's place to see if she was alright.
Altayr exited through the back door of Marco's house out of habit, out into the courtyard. It was shorter for him to go to his apartment. He fully intended to go to Sancha's place though. Instead, he found Diego standing there waiting for him, his back to him.....

Diego is 'played' here by SRG_Frank (still haven't quite gotten the 'kinks' worked out on him).

This is a story that could fit into real life easily Ray... it could lead to some really dramatic and twisted conclusions for sure. Great writing hon and a beautiful image to illustrate it!

Well done and dramatic scene. Seems Diego is quite a tool. Sounds like Sancha may have met with some serious trouble. You know how to set the suspense.

Looks like things are about to get just a little intense.... It doesn't appear that Diego is in the mood for talk! Another brilliantly put together piece, Ray! You definitely get the feeling of ominous things about to occur. Superbly done as always!

Hard to believe that is Frank with the curly hair. He does look rather menacing. Surely shit is about to hit the fan. I knew an extremely jealous man, once upon a time. He wound up marrying a friend of mine, much to the horror of most of us who thought surely she would pick "the other guy." He ruined her life with his control freak behavior. I think she thought she could "grow him up." You cannot grow up such men.
