I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. A charming village and the hanging washing give it just the right touch. Superb light but everythime you mention Beer I'm hoping for an image of a tall cool one.

wonderful lighting here, love the wash hanging, terrific picture. the title makes perfect sense to me. the row houses, all alike, remind me of a song by John Cougar Melankamp .. little pink houses, i think is the name

When I looked at this, my mind wanted there to be music and a camera move down to a closer angle. It's a combination of the POV, the lovely lighting, and the washings, that makes this feel like an intro to a show. It would be a show with a bit of drama and a lot of humor. Maybe I watch too much pbs (public broadcasting). :) I love the way you have composed this image with the long line of homes and the added lines made by the light on the roofs, the gables, and the little white gabled entryways. Beautiful shot!
