While hitch-hiking across The Czech Republic last summer heading to the pinhole camera championships in Prague, I was offered a ride by a cute little Bulgarian rocker by the name of Ronnie Razor.She was driving a baby blue 1967 Citroen DS with a car stereo blasting out Quicksilver Messenger Service's HAPPY TRAILS cd. She said that John Cippolina's guitar licks were the best she had ever heard! She also told me that she played lead guitar in the all girl band "SLAG" and that she was driving (too fast!) up to Amsterdam to sign a contract.Being the opportunistic photographer that I am, I asked her to pose for me. We stopped at an old East German army base and took several photos in the old officer's club. When we parted, she promised that I would be the one to photograph the group for their first cd. After spending several days in Berlin (a few weeks later) photographing the group, I headed back to Peru. The cd was released last week in London and it is quite popular there!
