Description
Meet Oscar a friend of mine from half a lifetime ago,in those days I used to keep a lot of tropical fish this was one of my favorites he got to be real BIG and we fed him on dog food and prawns.
One day he tried to eat the cat, the tanks were on racks and were covered with a sheet of glass the cat used to lie on the cover under the warm lights one day her tail dangled in the water were the heater cables went through, I heard a lot of screeching and turned round to see Oscar tugging on her tail, fortunately It all ended in a truce.
The picture is from a scanned print that needed a lot of work to clean It up.

Used to have theese. Also keept discus a few years till I started up a cold saltwater aquarium with a DIY chiller. Great shot.

LOL I used to have Red Oscars when I was a youngster too! I used to feed mine pieces of orange!

A great photo and scan. Funny story about Oscar and the cat!!! Nice to see live plants in the tank. I so don't like the plastic ones. I was into beta fighting fish. I had long tanks that were partitioned so they could see each other and go through the pre-fighting rituals and nobody got hurt.
