Description

Isn't very happy with the snow, poor Mr. Buck. He prefers to stay in the warm :o) I have re-read the letter Anita gave me when Meadow was discharged from the hospital & I quote pieces of it:- "Meadow should be rested for the next month to minimise stimulation, she will need to be confined to "house arrest." During these two months Meadow should be walked to the toilet & back, always using a lead & no longer than 5 mins. Provided she continues to recover well meadow may gradually be re introduced to exercise following this rest period, provided she is deemed to have returned to normal by this time. Generally we recommend 5 mins on lead walk several times a day for the first week. provided she copes with this the length of exercise may be increased by 5 mins each week. Meadow should remain on the lead until her normal exercise regime & provided she has shown no further evidence of deterioration. So Miss M has a long road ahead of her still. Thanks for all the best wishes & continued prayers for my sweet girl, so appreciated. xxx

Barbara, this is a wonderful photo of Mr. Buck. I agree with him, as I also am not a very big fan of the snow. Thanks for the news about Meadow, and I'll be sure and keep her in my prayers.

It is always best to be safe than sorry, tetanus is so obviously a very bad illness to have and takes a long time to get out of the system. The time will soon pass and you will be able to enjoy life again with both girls going out for their walks as before. Love the pic of Mr Buck and I am sure my cats would agree it is far better to snuggle up near a radiator during this cold spell. hugs and love xxxxxxxxx

Very cool cat! Great capture Barb! You can see his displeasure in his stance Glad to hear that Meadow is doing better - I agree that you should skimp out on the intstructions, no matter how Meadow looks at you with her big, brown eyes...

I so admire Mr. Buck. He is such a handsome red cat! Well, really he is more orange, like orange marmalade. Such beautiful colors and markings on him. Yes, Barb, very important to follow instructions faithfully. Meadow was a very sick girl, and is recovering so beautiful, one just doesn't want to take a chance. Meadow will appreciate running and racing so much more when she can do it again, and I think it won't be that long, I think the time will pass rapidly and before you know it, before she knows it, life will be back to normal again. You all are in my prayers ..

Poor Mr. Buck, he really does look unhappy! Yes, it sounds like you and Meadow have a long recovery period, but she is doing so much better, I'm sure she'll be more than ready when it is time to let her run free.

He certainly doesn't look happy! I'm sure the next 2 or 3 months will fly by and she'll be back to normal. Let's face it - doesn't seem long since Christmas yet we're half way through January already :)

What a wonderful picture of Mr. Buck out in the snow. Our cats are always indoors and really dislike the cold weather and snow that they run towards when the door is open to the porch. Then do a mad dash to get back inside where it is dry and warm. Wow the letter from Anita seems to be filled with precise and direct care plans. Although the progress to a full recovery is long,Meadow will be as good as new before you know it. Hang in there Barbara.

Mr Buck does not look very happy out there but I don't think that cats, in general, like snow!
