I should have left well enough alone
But sometimes our memories
Are so strong
We just try and hold on
I remember a flower in the spring
But time can be a terrible thing
It can wilt a flower
Drain her of her life
Changing everything you remember
In one fatal swoop
I am so sorry
I couldn’t have left well enough alone
