I have been into photography for over 40 years, and the pull doesnt lessen. As a family we have always been keen walkers, and that gets you to some interesting places.Ive recently been to Southern India as a member of an adult support team with our local community school to Chennai so the camera never cooled down i can tell you, (watch this space). I live in Chard South Somerset, and have fairly recently converted to digital, at first reluctantly, but now enthusiastically. Its great to hear others comments on your pictures and i am looking forward to loading up my space. Alan. Almost through my first week and inspiration levels have rocketed, thanks for all those comments they drive me on.

Stunning capture my friend. God Bless.

Outstanding image. Dark and moody contrasting with the light in the sky and on the water. Nice work.

This is stunning and more than a little inspirational. I love the starkness and the almost-monochrome elements here. The geology/architecture is quite deliciously enigmatic as well. I'm quite sure that this is a largely mundane place, for somebody, but it has a look of abandonment, desolation, and more than a little bit of an alien planet vibe going on. I love this image!
GARAGELAND
As Chipka mentioned, very alien.

We had light like this for a while when we were in Bournemouth; it's an interesting phenomenon while it lasts. Beautiful POV in this shot! Love the textures on the seawall.

I was a little disoriented at first, it seemed this was a bird's eye view looking down over farm fields, you know, that checkerboard effect one gets looking down at farm fields from way up high. And then I zoomed and realized it was stones!! An awesome an dramatic image!

Doubtless helped by the shot into the sun on a cloudy day. I love the low angle of this work, it really helps let the road pull you in. Great detailing on the asphalt.

Beautiful capture! The water has a life and variety to it that is fascinating. The water in the foreground goes from ripples that look frozen in time, to clear reflecting glass. A glowing pathway goes through the rocks to the satiny expanse beyond. For that shimmering water to share space with the gritty rocks and stonework of the land is a wonderful contrast in light, motion, and substance. The Cobb has such massive solidity in the shimmering light of the water. I like the curve of it and the geometric features outlined by ice. I remember this feature of Lyme Regis from productions of Jane Austin's 'Persuasion'. I'd love to walk along it (in sturdy, non-slip shoes).
