Description
Here is Arild Jørgensen, former head coach of Norways national cross country team.
He is now a ski instructor on a local level.
The picture is from a newspaper story we made about him and his long career.
It was -10`C and snowing and almost pitch dark when I captured this picture and my fingers was almost frozen solid.
They say that norwegians are born with ski on their feet and I think thats true.
I got my first pair of skies late in my life, when I was 4 years old. I was a dedicated skier once.
My career ended 10 years ago after a disc prolapse.
I miss it so much.

Only time I tried skiing I ended up with a bruised bum....great capture Knut, I love what the flash does to the falling snow...I have to ask, do a lot of people go skiing in the pitch black? I assume there must be a degree of radiated light from the snow but still ! Well it's down to -2 here, probably T-shirt weather for you :-)

this is cool. i never was on skis intill i went to France and they was laughing at me on the slopes and some kids that look like three years old came down the slope and made circles around me and then they went on down the slope. i was around 20 years old at the time.
