Another one of those mistakes i wish I had not made back in the day as I had a ragtop 68 back in 79 but traded it for a 70 Cuda which .....(sigh)...I no longer own that one either unfortunately....Oh the ones that got away....lol.......

I had a 65 Chevy Impala that I really loved. I kept having issues with the engine not running smooth, so one day I was going to replace the points. when I looked at the contacts inside the distributor cover, I noticed that the round and square pegs to aline the cover had been damaged, realizing someone had put the cover in the wrong position. I decided to put it back the way it should have been, but failed to re-insert the plug wires in the right sequence. when I tried to start it the backfire blew my muffler completely off, beside scaring the bejibbers out of me. after moving the wires one more space, it worked fine superb capture
