I remember the first time you shared this photo with us Mickey, and I am sad to hear that someone has stolen it. People need to show proper respect to other artists in the community and their work. Stealing photos or images from someone who worked hard on them is just wrong. In a lot of cases if you simply ask the artist or photographer if you can use their image in a project they will agree as long as you give them the proper credit.

Dear Mickey, i agree with Magnus073, i know also that you have shared this photo with us a long time ago, but i also now if you whant to used it you only can ask. It's so simple to do that. And now i have a quistion to you dear Mickey.....is it oke if i use this photo witch you have shared a long time ago. To make a beautiful image for you. Please let me know. Greetings and hugs Adrie.

It is true that now, everything happens so fast on the net, once work stolen, it is rapidly multiplied and we can not stop it. An excellent image to denounce this fact.

well, as there are a diverse membership at renderosity the odds of someone taking the same capture from the an identical vantage point is not as uncommon as one would imagine. even with the same brand of camera. I know that some artists work is used without their permission and it has happened to me. actually I was told by the person after the fact. it is a chance one takes if they want to share their art or photos

It is a sad state of affairs when someone steals your art or photos. Most of us would say yes you can, if they would only ask, and give you credit.

There are so many places to get free backgrounds, why not just use one of those? If you're going to use someone's image you should ask first - or at least give credit to them. I'm sorry this is happening to you Michel.

Happens all the time I'm afraid and as some has stated above that if they would at least "ask" permission that they probably would be surprised to find out most would be flattered and say yes but those that just take and basically flip their middle finger to those they steal from is not acceptable or right but as many have stated no matter what watermark or name is placed upon the image with programs like Photoshop that removing said name or watermark they think we won't notice...Shame really but what is one to do?....I feel yours and others pain on this subject Mickey!....(sigh)

Ah, Mickey, I'm so sorry this happened to you! This just happened to a bunch of us over on Facebook, very blatant thievery and then they tried to play the 'I didn't know I couldn't do this' game. I don't know why people do this when most of us will give permission to tubers and taggers when they ask to use images. I'll never understand how easily people can steal! :(

I think it is shameful that anyone stills others hard efforts, and claims them as there own, but at the same time realize that it is part of having an open gallery, and simply live with it. Only other option would be to never show it period. :(

It is not fair when someone use your work without asking. I do not know if someone stole any of my pictures up to now. I can only say that there is artist and other people who asked if they can use my pictures and I am happy to have given them the pictures that they need. Outstanding work my friend. God Bless.

So sorry that someone is so crass and lazy to steal your work, rather than to go out and do their own work! (that could be because they don't have a creative bone in their body) We just resolved a problem with someone on FaceBook who was stealing images from Renderosity - after being blasted continuously for several days, the stolen art was removed.
