Description

Rest stop at Navajo Bridge, Colorado River, Marble Canyon. This Colorado River crossing is upstream of the Grand Canyon and downstream of the Glen Canyon Dam which impounds Lake Powell. The Vermilion Cliffs in the background delineate the Paria Plateau. The Vermilion Cliffs were the first site in Arizona where California Condors, reared in captivity, were released. Gorgeous scenery! I particularly like the BMW. (Seems I'm not the only one to have noticed it!) Maybe one day (perhaps April?) I'll get to ride around in a landscape like that and a car like that! :D

a beautiful capture - lovely colors - I did the 3 day Paria Canyon hike (it took me four days) - still want to spend a week on a housebout on Lake Powell.
