Description

Modeled in 3dsmax, rendered in Octane render. One of my favorite minimal surfaces, the Chen-Gackstatter, was created through math formula with the extremely handy Mathsurf 2 maxscript, then tweaked with modifiers such as shell and vertex weld to create the final model. I hand-painted UV-maps to create scratches and other surface imperfections for the metal shader. The ground texture is from CGtextures.com. Rendered with PMC kernel in Octane.

An absolutely smart design and it would make a cute pendant - I do like the matte silver finish and especially those added 'natural' flaws ;P BB
