Alien Tree Dear Ted Harris: As I mentioned to you earlier via our phone conversations, strange plants have started growing inside of our spaceship. We suspect that seeds, tracked in from the forested areas around the planet may be the source. At first the small plants seemed harmless. Our plant biology scientist suggest that they seem to grow from the oxygen on the ship. The use very little oxygen, so they seemed harmless. However, six months later, the larger plants are now almost six feet tall and they are still growing. What concerns me most is that the tree-like plants have grown teeth and vines. They have not bitten anyone yet but it worries me that they have nipped at a few crew members who did not stop to feed them. They mostly are fed vegetables and seeds. Some crew member fed them meat and it worries me that they seem to like the meat, bloody and raw. The plants ate the meat and the bone, breaking the bones with it's teeth. We fear it is best to stop the problem before it starts, we have decided to pull up the plants and transplant them back into the darker regions of the forest. We hope this will end the problem.
