Description

The Interview It is the 23rd century. Jenni is being interviewed for her first job. The real point of the interview is for the employer to confirm that this person exists and is really who they say they are, and to introduce Jenni to her future employment leader Lacey. . . . . --------------------------- So here we are in the twenty-third or twenty-fourth century and they are still using laptops and paper ? Folks, I need some suggestions here. I can cheat up to a point and have Lacey say "This is my grandfather's office" but otherwise I am stumped: what do you think, what will the computing equipment look like in 200 years? Will it be visible at all? Will there still be paper? TV? Phones? trash bins? Offices? We know that some things don't change in a hurry - business suits still look the same after two centuries for example. . . but that is not much help either. The future does not copy the past. -------------------------- Credits: Room: Home Office by TruStyes (Renderosity) - a great room btw. The desk top itself could be the computer, visible only to the person behind the desk. Or just hang in the air in front of her. Phones will probably be implants wired into the brain for thought control. There will still be offices. They are power symbols. The furniture will be more sleek and oddly shaped because they can do more with plastic-like material by then. Just my vision of the future. Great ideas for story lines.

I agree they wouldn't be using laptop computers... but perhaps just a thin piece of transparent plastic that displays all the info they need, also touch screen. great work, look forwards to seeing what you come up with.

Maybe a special headset with electronics that can discover who the person is - and if, of course, the person is a real human and not an android. Maybe everyone will have a microchip with their details on that the headset programs can read ...

Holographic screens of mist will almost certainly be employed by that point since the tech has already been hinted out..
