Even though Freda Payne was not a Motown signed artist, she had all the soul of Syreeta Wright and Tammi Terrell; Gladys Knight and many more.
The hit from the 70s was written by Holland Dozier Holland (The famous writing team from Motown who were in dispute with Motown at the time)and she was accompanied by members of the famous Motown Orchestra, the Funk Brothers.
I can't remember if the track is a B side of Band of Gold, which is an absolute Anthem, during any self respecting hen night's musical offering! lol
