My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

It's not just cow rest time? That saying would never work where I used to live in California, the cows laid down all the time and rain only came for about a month out of the year... Beautiful shot!

We have the same saying in the UK Clive. Super shot.

And same in the USA...must be an agreement among the cattle unions:) I'll bet there is a Gary Larson cartoon that takes this behavior on...

Same here, but I understand cows wake up, eat, lie down to digest their food, get back up, eat more, lie down again. You could argue that cows lie down before it rains around here, but since it rains a lot, who's to say? LOL! Either way, this is a great shot. Our cows say, "mooooooooo." Do yours say "moooooooooi?"

Yep! And they have a very unhappy look about them lol Good shot mate! Rob
