Dear Mom, I just had my first real fight as a full fledged Samurai and I won!!! It was great. For a minute or two there I thought I might lose cause every time our swords hit it hurt my ears, but I made it through. I've enclosed a photograph taken a few seconds after I won. I had Timmy, one of the other Samurai, take a picture from the roof of the pagoda. I know I have a mean look on my face but that was just for effect. I actually liked the guy I beat, Jake, but he said I took his dessert cup during lunch so we had to fight. It's got something to do with honor or something like that. Oh... and just so you know no one was really hurt. The bet was whoever lost had to pose for a picture as the loser. So you can tell Grandma it's pretend if she sees the picture. Well I'm tired now. I'm off to have some milk and cookies with Jake and Timmy before going to bed. Tell dad I said hi.
