I think it's nice, and if chess has been done to death, does it really matter? I mean, isn't the point of posting art here to get help and suggestions, not to please others? As for suggestions, a close-up on some of the pieces might be nice, maybe to show detail. :)

Good wood effect and nice models, but you need a more dynamic POV for effect and something to set it apart from all the others. frndofyaweh's right - if you're going to use a chess-set, it needs to have something different about it in order to stand out! ... Having said that, I've just posted some mirrored spheres, so maybe you shouldn't be listening to me!!! ;)

smile Nice work, nothing much to add to what the others have said except one comment about 'what's been done' already. I commented to friend the other day about the naked ladys - so guess what I put in my artwork today? Yep, a naked lady - another one! LOL Just keep on keeping on until you find your 'eye', the way a writer finds her/his 'voice'.

Theres a lot of subjects that have been done to death, but if an artist finds something new or inspiring in such a piece, then go for it...
