Description

My gallery has become as grey as the weather has been so here is cheerful digifiddled rose. The good news is that the Council Tree officer said I can have the Western Red Cedar taken down. The irritating news is that as it is unlikely to suddenly fall in the next few weeks, I still have to make the usual 4 page application, and a committee will decide if it can happen. The committee decision is based entirely on the recommendation of the same man who came this morning! I cannot, however, go ahead with the work until I receive written permission! All this takes 6 to 8 weeks...... I have asked my tree surgeon to act as my agent..otherwise I may lose my patience and cease to be ladylike.

Lol, I got quite unladylike just this morning dealing with a "tech" about my printer. Where do they get these guys??? Good luck with the tree---and the idiots you have to talk to. They're SO irritating!! BTW--LOVE the color and the post work you did!!

Fabulous splash of much needed color! Nothing but gray days here. It's warmed up a lot, so the snow is all gone, lots of mud, rain, and dismal gray overcast! Glad the tree will come down, legally, and not on it's own. Also glad you've an agent to get you through all the mounds of paperwork so you don't have to lose your lady-like demeanor, grins.

Outstanding and deceptive postwork on what I first thought was a rolled up velvet blanket, Andrea. And the best of luck on your tree crisis. 6 to 8 weeks of red tape is most unpropitious.

Can't imagine having to go through so much to have a tree cut down.

I only hope it DOES fall before they get around to granting you permission to bring it down. Then THEY will be liable! This is beautiful, this red digifiddle!

It's called bureaucracy or red tape, so typical ... actually Western Red Cedar is beautiful wood to work with, we have a guestroom, and covered the walls with it - it looks Ab-Fab, just like this Rose! BB

What part of a) It could fall over at any moment b) It could destroy my neighbor's garage c) It could damage my property d) It could kill or injure a human being do they not understand? Always remember dear Andrea, no matter how much the idiots outnumber you, they are still the idiots. Gorgeous flower and fiddle, BTW. (that was what we were talking about, wasn't it?)

Beautiful color and postwork. Is it possible to trim some branches to take some of the weight off the leaning side. After all it is a safety issue!

There's nothing gray about this shot. It's just like the council to make more work out of something simple, tell them if it does come down you hold them responsible, It might speed things up.
