My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

looks like a scene from some horror movie....."It came from the Sound" of course it would be a Grade B movie with cheesy effects and dumb teenagers....

lol.. horror movie, dumb teenagers.. hey! I got an idea, there's a serial killer in the camp, lets all get naked and jump in the shower.. and then we'll all split up and go check out those scary noises in the dark.

I was thinking more along the line of green slim or the swamp thing. LOL Nice shot Tara.

I love shots like this; there's a sense of mystery that's quite appealing!

Yesterday you saw it...today you don't:) I must agree with Marilyn...I love a foggy day...I actually find something comforting about it. This photo transmits the feeling of that special armosphere to me. Well done hon:*

Beautiful place. I love composition and pov.

I can imagine each of those pieces of wood as a person, and the conversation ( very slow, of course) , which is taking place between them. Or maybe the complete row is being inspected by the unit commanders. Or none of that. It is great all three ways

An ancient battel was fought on this site. The defenders were overwhelmed and their fortress was destroyed. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Superb capture Tara. God Bless.

Reminds me of that film 'THE FOG'.

Interesting the colors that resulted here! And, how different it looks from the previous photo, a totally different feeling to the place!

Such an amazing POV and mood those wooden and interesting poles are bringing here in your great capture, Tara. I'm still 'in love' with those poles. :)

I think they always look better old and worn away than new and smart looking... Super shot Tara.. Rob

Great misty atmosphere & I like the monochrome look...

This is as magical as the shot I saw previously. I love the textures and the overall sense of color. Each of those pilings looks as if they belong to something else, something fossilized, something deliciously otherworldly. The misty distance gives this a delicious air of mystery, and though I can easily recall one particular unwritten world, I can imagine countless others while looking at this. I love the way my eye just follows that line of pilings and then questions what interesting, oddly convoluted things might live within that fog! This is yet another brilliant, evocative piece of work.

Do like the contrast between this and the previous
