Erosion on a grand scale. Was just reading the other day about the theories of the age of this place...scientific concensus says 6 million years old, newest scientific conjecture is 70 million years old. One way or the other, it has been here a long time:)

A super photo out over the great expanse of the Grand Canyon. I remember reading once that it was approximately 1 mile deep, on average of 10 miles wide and 100 miles long. Amazing!
