FYI the car is a pristine 1971 Holden HQ Monaro, and the colour is Passion Purple! Best viewed zoooooooomed.

I love how Australian cars, particularly of this period, look very much like slightly smaller RHD versions of the products being put in the home market by their American parent companies. This Holden for example looks A LOT like a 1970 Chevy Chevelle with a touch of a Canadian Pontiac Beaumont thrown in for good measure. This is a very sweet looking ride, and with less weight than a Chevelle it's probably fast as hell. I WANT ONE!!! By the way, during this period, Chrysler offered a very similar color on it's muscle cars called "Plumb Crazy Metallic." Love this shot!!
