I always liked the lines of the P1800, one of Volvo's best it even was handsome as a wagon. Years ago in N.E. Nevada I saw a really nice red one and got to talking to it's owner at a truckstop, come to find out it was that guy that's in the book of records for having like 2 or 3 million miles on his. Sorry to say his name escapes me but packed away somewhere I've got an autographed picture of him (and his car, of course) for actually knowing what a P1800 was, lol.

She could do with some TLC! They were almost never built due to VW threatening Karmann not take on the project in the first place, lest the sales of it's own Karmann Ghia be threatened.

Volvo's are known to be the safest cars around - speaking of the wagon (!) but I am unfamiliar with this one - but it looks cool in design! BB

You are bringing it home for me on this one! In 1966 I had a pretty bad craving for a P-1800 but money was very tight for me and I was borrowing most of it. The Volvo 122S was $3000 new then and the P-1800 was $3300, and for a mere $300 difference I could not afford what I really wanted. The 122S gave me very good service and I put 90,000 miles on it before selling it to my sister and buying a 1972 GMC 3/4 ton in order to carry a camper.
