Description

Captured 1/29/13, very early in the AM, in nearby Holifield Park. ZOOM for prominent details. Just one of the 203 photos I took recently of deceased flora before the season changes and there are no longer any of the genre around to shoot until next fall and winter. Glad I got these when I did because park maintenance was right behind me with their rakes and bags. Sayonara, and enjoy the big game tomorrow.

Nice capture of warm fall colors. Good texture and details exhibited atop green grass background. My first inclination is that its time to "RAKE" !!! :)

If you look closely, there are actually many shades of browns and golds here. Nice shot, and thanks for the cute squirrel story.

Wonderful capture of these dried leaves, Harry; maple, I think? I rather like how everything goes mushy and starts sprouting fungus when it gets left to nature to dispose of it. Lots of that happening around here right now! But the grass under these definitely looks like it gets tended regularly, and I'm sure unattached leaves are not left to rot on it. Well done!

The early bird catches the worm. The early photographer catches whatever he wants:) I envy your dedication to your early morning walks and your daily pursuit of your art. Atta boy!

I agree with Bill, I know the best shots are caught in the early morning light but I just never seem to make it so I do most of my shooting in the late afternoon/ evenings.
