My thoughts: You are in a dark cave and turns the torch to and 10 ugly men grinning at you horrible :D Very fine work. The darkness in the scene is perfect and the figures stand out.

I think Unicorn got it best, as there is no light source seen it must come from somewhere else, and the creepiest would be from the viewer. A "nasty" concept piece, finely executed, and hey, there is that wonderful lighting again.
