You can't get there from here. Andrea is correct. The red post against the almost monochromatic scene really makes the image.

I love the red post too. It fits the story of the road and tire tracks, and is an exclamation point against the almost monochrome colors of winter. The trees are wonderful too. The ones on the left form a line, drawing the eye into the distance, while the one on the right stands alone, throws out fantastic branches, and captures the wandering eye. I really like that tree on the right. This is a beautiful shot!
