Description
Right, here goes: my very first upload. I've only just started rendering (been at it since just after Christmas), and this image is the first I've completed to a point where I felt it could be shown.
As you can see, I've not bothered with a background; this was just me mucking about with lights and surfaces, really. When I saw the outfit (a freebie from EvilInnocence) I knew I had to... well, as you see. :)
The stockings and boots were a bit improvised, but I reckon they work. Shame I couldn't find a good match for the hair...
No postwork apart from the logo (which I knocked out in Photoshop after about two minutes' work, planning included); as I'm hoping for suggestions to help me improve I figured any cleanup would be counterproductive.
Everything but the main suit came from the Daz shop, rendered via Reality.

Wonderful Work,

Nice!! I'm a huuuuuuuuuge fan of Cowboy Bebop, and I feel like you're captured Faye pretty well! Can't stand the character, mind you, but that doesn't take away from the fact this is a great render. Your renders are better than what mine were when I started rendering, so that's a great start! If you want suggestions to help improve with Reality, I've got a few for you! First of all, you'd really, really benefit yourself if you read up on photography and got yourself quite knowledgeable there. Secondly, for portraits, I always use mesh lights, and never distant or point lights. =) I'll give you skin settings from Pret-a-3d's Make Your Own Reality tutorial, that should really help get realistic, lovely skin, as long as you have specular maps loaded! Tweak as needed, but this'll give you a good starter. =) Coat color: 255, 234, 230 at 0.20 Specular color: 40, 57, 69. Glosse strength: 7000 I always go by those! Umm...You know, I can't think of any more decent advice! If you have any questions, or want any help, please contact me! =)
