Please, ZOOM ! Text in french and in english : A peine entré, le seigneur Erik parcourt du regard l'assemblée et voit que Xam, qui n'est qu'un serviteur, est assis entre le maître des lieux et l'une des deux ravissantes "cousines", il refuse alors de prendre place à cette table qui n'est pas digne de son rang! Darios ne peut supporter un tel mépris vis-à-vis de celui qu'il considère comme son frère de sang, il est furieusement tenté d'en venir aux mains avec Erik......mais par respect pour les dames, il n'en fera rien...... Il est clair qu' Erik n'est venu que pour faire un esclandre, Darios le provoque en duel en lui offrant le choix des armes ! Avec un léger sourire, Erik choisit le combat à la lance et à cheval, discipline où il excelle........le duel aura lieu demain matin, à la première heure...... Lord Erik, after looking at the gathering and seeing that Xam, which is only a servant, sits between the master of the castle and one of the two lovely "cousins", refuses to stoop to sit at this table! Darios, who considers Xam as his blood brother, becomes furious and is tempted to get a grip on Erik ...... but out of respect for the ladies, he does nothing ...... It is clear that Erik came only to make a scene, Darios challenges him to a duel and offers him the choice of weapons! With a slight smile, Erik chooses the spear fighting on horseback, discipline where he excels ...... the duel will take place tomorrow at the first hour ...... D'un plan à l'autre ,au fil de la narration,nous retrouvons la même somptuosité des décors,la même finesse des traits et la même richesse des détails d'un réalisme prégnant.Rien à ajouter aux nombreux commentaires élogieux,sinon que l'on retrouve d'oeuvre en oeuvre la même "signature" picturale ce qui est l'expression d'une réflexion artistique maîtrisée......Ce qui est rare .....Yes! I love this image! I can clearly see the anger on Darios' face and I understand the blood brother thing for my best friend, Jim, is like a brother to me. In retirement - we do everything together and think the same way with everything!
