Detroit Michigan is really bad, but I agree with you Richard they don't want help even in the cold winter they'll stay outside no matter what. This is a great picture of reality.

and the reality of it is the shelters arent the best either , overcrowded and if your not there by a given time good luck getting a bed , about 1/3 of them wind up sleeping on the floors ... you have to watch everyone in them simply as you are clueless as to which will steal from you whilst your sleeping .... it isn't a pleasant thing to go through this sort of thing but the reality of it is for most low income and even some middle income families we are nothing more than a lost job away from bieng in this sort of ordeal ....

It is not that they don't want help. They do not want the price tag that comes with the help. Nice shot though. Glad you were not beaten up for your camera.

It is nice to know that our Masters are taking care of business, their business! An excellent, but very sad image. A frightening sign of our declining society!!!!!

I lived in Portland OR and watched many of these "hobos" rounded up, they really wanted to be left to their own elected life style. When it got cold, or they lacked food, they would migrate to shelters & the Salvation Army. They were not the "Poor Homeless", of course there are those as well.
