Well I flew one of the P-40's to work today, then realised they're not that easy to find parking space for.I was almost late so I just parked it here while I ran in to clock on, and when I came out to move it.....the old 'Denver Boot' brigade had been round and it cost me a days pay to get the clamp removed....lesson learned, next time I'll land on the roof.
Ok, it's just for laughs, seriously I don't and would never condone the morons who park in disabled bays without the right 'credentials'.These bays in front of The Riverside Bowl are often used by perfectly fit and healthy dim wits just to save walking ten feet further, especially if its raining. If cars are parked without a Blue Badge, we call the owner over the internal PA and point out they have forgotten to display their badge.Amazing how fast those cars move, although 50% are not even in the building, they park there and go next door to the fair or walk along the prom.I've designed a clamp, but they aren't going to let me use it...the clamp's ok, it's the Claymore Mine attached to it that seems to be the problem....maybe one day :-)

Nice ride mate!

You make an excellent point. The 20% always spoil it for the rest. Lazy MOFO's! Oh and nice wings BTW!!

Lots of grins here. So, where do you take off and land when taking your P-40 to the bowling alley? ...according to a table of notional take-off ground run for US WWII fighter types at baseline weight (with full ammo and internal fuel) from a hard surface, with zero wind speed @ sea level @ take-off power: a P-40E requires 1070 feet a P-40N-1 requires 1760 feet Now, I know you don't go to work armed, do you? Just curious:) Your sense of humor always adds to each of your posts!

It only takes seconds mate and they are 'on' you round this way lol. But yes, you see perfectly able people doing this all the time. Like your idea of the 'Neiwil Clamp' althought to patent it could be a problem :)

Oh, my! What a feat of aviation, landing on so short a space! As for Bill's comment, I assume you were not flying with a full load of fuel and ammunition, yet... wow! Nice of you to post an image of the front of your place of employment. So now we've seen both inside and outside! Considering the "boot", use a Harrier to get to work instead. You don't need to roll the wheeels, so the boot would be meaningless. Yes, yes, I know you wanted to show us your latest texturing for the P-40, but it cost you a bit. Sigh. Now, for the "Neiwil Boot", that's something else. I'd love seeing it tested on a moron's car! Any chance of seeing it tested? My, this gave me a good laugh! I at first thought it was parked outside a building at some air show until I spotted the disabled bay (handicap parking) - THAT gave away that this was a collage. Darned good job, Neil!!! Good job with that shadow! Keep up the good work! :-)

Going to take that baby for a bowling pin shoot???
