Description

Saltburn Pier yesterday on a cold windy day. I was out for the day with my cousin, my goddaughter and her grandma. So whilst they was having a cup of tea I ventured out into the cold with my camera. Shot with a Nikon D5000. I was being lazy, so shot in scene mode as it was so cold. Slight crop too the left of the image in photoshop. Colour balancing and sharpening also.

I love the way the sand forms pockets around the pilings. Wonderful capture!

Sometimes the auto functions do the magic they are supposed to do. I always forget that I have them available to me - though sometimes I will cheat and set the auto white balance on when doing a lot of indoor shots... and then forget about it. You got a great capture here by focusing on the moment and not the settings.
