Description

A kestrel or two :) Thank you for the comments on my last post; in answer to queries, the 840mm focal length is a 600mm F4L IS Canon + 1.4x extender. No, I am not rich - I drive a 13 year old car and spend money elsewhere ;) Unlike the car, the lens is still worth what I paid for it.... Thanks for looking & have a great weekend. ~Steve~

A very astute title for this wonderful close-up shot! Your lens is still worth what you paid for it, I confirm :-)

Nice shot & I like the visual mapping of your title to the image - very clever...

Marvellous!! My car is 20 this year, but has still only done 230,000 miles. Volvos are supposed to go on to 900,000 but the electronics won't last that long.

Great capture! I'm right: 600mm x 1,4, OK!

Very unusual to see two kestrels together like this, super shot Steve and my car is ten years old this year!

Wonderful shot mate! The expressions - if you can call it that on birds - are just superb.

Not to worry my friend. I would also rather buy extenders then buy such expensive lenses. Superb capture. God Bless.

Nice shot! Thanks for the comments on my floats. THey are a cotton trailer with wood sides. I did not build that part. They are covered in canvas. I paint a background design, then build off of that with thick foam sheets creating birds, shrimp, boats, people, shoes. you name it, I build it out of layered foam. Them paint of course. Lots of bright colors. Then I add rope lights. I will upload another carnival picture today. Thanks

Beautiful birds and I love the image, is like one bird an a mirror. My car is a 87 pick up Toyota 1000, and I love it.

What a pair of beauties! It must be hard to avoid sticking your talons into yourself perching on wire!! I'm glad you liked the lakeland shots, it is a special place. My car is 13 years old too and worth less than any lens I have. It gets me and my lenses to the lakes though, it does it's job.
