Description

Dedicated to my wife of 27 years Christina Mary. Best viewed FULL SIZE to avoid SUCKY Colorspace settings. Another exploration in three frame HDR Fusion has resulted in this picture with a brigt painterly texture but zero smokiness that besets many HDR photos. Not quite as good as being there with the summer breeze and the sound of waves splitting themselves on the rocks however, but a vibrant reminder of a beautiful out of the way place bathing in God's sunshine. Thank you to all those who viewed and rated my previous picture. I don't normally get a lot of traffic so it was a nice surprise. This view is an inset of the previous photo, but done totally separately with a zoom lens.

Much better is the large version, the colours just look dull on the small version. Have you ever thought about joining Flickr, your photos would look better and would be far more appreciated. I'm an admin for a group called A Place For Great Photographers

It really is a beautiful image and the little gap in the rocks to the front takes you right in.

You've nailed this one. I can take or leave HDR but this is mild which is great. I like the painterly effect, but the thing that grabs me is the composition. This really draws me in and makes me want to look at it for more than the usual "few seconds". An image to get lost in. Great stuff!

Thank you for your positive comments. Fred 255 - I do have a flickr page with the same username - xxancroft - but I rarely post on there. I refuse to have a credit card and used up most of the free capacity a fw years back. I do quite like flickr however. I also have a Google+ and I really like the interface there. tommorules, AZBO, jayfar - thanxx for the comments about composition - I was working at it the whole morning trying to get the elements in the frame nicely balanced and then getting some sunshine to fuse it all together.

xxancraft you could try 500px as well. A superb hdr. An amazing place to be. The tractor and boat does draw ones eyes into the picture. Congratulations for your picture being featured in gallery of the week 7. God Bless.
