Description

Pasha and his Grandfather, Marek, return to the study where Marek has a huge library with many ancient manuscripts. It takes Marek awhile, but finally he does come back with one very old looking volume. He opens it up and begins his search. Page after page of an ancient script that Pasha has no idea how to read gets thumbed through by the old man. 'You know how to read this script?' asks Pasha. 'Yes, grandson. I learned it as a child from my father. He told me it was a very old language that very few people even knew existed. He said that each succeeding generation of our family had to learn it and that it was never to be revealed to an outsider. I have taught it to your father. It is his duty to teach it to you some day.' With that, Marek returned to the old book and continued his search, until on one page, there was a picture of a pendant. 'Wait!' shouted Pasha. 'What does it say about that pendant. I vaguely recall seeing one someplace but I can't quite recall where just now.' 'It says that this pendant is given to a prospective candidate to be brought into a vampire coven. The bestower of the pendant is a very highly placed member of the group whose duty it is to bring new 'blood' so to speak, into the group. I wish you could remember where you saw it. I wouldn't want you associating with anyone that had one of those!' 'I will try very hard to remember, Grandfather!' A few pages more and Marek finds a reference to wolf/human transformation. It is a very interesting read. As he gets through each passage, he translates it for his grandson. It turns out to be a very long chapter and they spend many an hour into the wee morning hours before they finish reading. One thing they learn is that there are certain people that were set up in each village that were trained to guard against the evils inherent in the transformation from man to beast. These people were given the power to help control anyone afflicted with the so called curse. Several villages near this very castle were listed in the book as having these people present in village occupants in days gone by. 'I wonder if there are any of them still left?' Pasha wonders out loud. 'We must go to these villages tomorrow and make some cautious inquiries!' says Marek. 'But right now, we need our rest! We will start first thing in the morning!' Thank you for taking a peek! Your support is greatly appreciated!

Brilliant! and so easy to read. And trust me.. that's saying alot. Me no likey books. Books were made by vampires to torture me. Unless they're books with pictures. And the pov, I really like different povs, it just adds flavor. And the poses are spot on. You've really made a very interesting series.
