I found this Lightwave version of one of Terry Nation's other great creations by Axeman at http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=365&p13_fileid=1844
The Liberator was the ship of Roj Blake and his posse of interstellar rebels in the BBC's 1978 sci-fi drama: Notorious for its even-wobblier than Doctor Who-sets, Blakes 7 was a more grown up version of Star Wars. In place of the Evil Empire we have an Evil Federation, represented by gun weilding thugs in gas masks and overalls. Said thugs are seen massacring a group of dissidents in episode 1. Roj Blake is part of this group who manages to survive. However the Federation have him arrested and fit him up on a charge of child-rape! Blake us chained into place on ship load of criminals bound for a bleak prison colony. On the way they encounter a mysterious alien space-craft....
Blake 7 is a-buzz with Terry Nation's favourite tropes, fascist governments, doughty rebels, prison colonies on bleak planets. We find a similar prison colony in The Dalek's Master-plan over a decade before. It is no surprise to hear that at one point Terry Nation contemplated having the Daleks as the mysterious group of aliens that invade the galaxy at the end of the second series. Perhaps for the best he decided that was a crossover to far.
Blakes7 is copyright of the BBC and the Terry Nation Estate.

Very nice Liberator render. The Blake's 7 theme tune is pounding in my head now... think I might have to watch an episode or two later ;)

Love that ship. I hope the SyFy version keeps more or less the same design.
