Description

Plunge Basin of Snoqualmie Falls For the Snoqualmie People, who have lived for centuries in the Snoqualmie Valley in western Washington, Snoqualmie Falls is central to their culture, beliefs, and spirituality. A traditional burial site, to the Snoqualmie, the falls are "the place where First Woman and First Man were created by Moon the Transformer" and "where prayers were carried up to the Creator by great mists that rise from the powerful flow." The mists rising from the base of the waterfall are said to serve to connect Heaven and Earth. .................. Note: Falls are 268 feet (82m) high.

Oh, beautiful. Cotton hair, if I may say what it reminds me of. And no small falling distance either. You lucky fellow to be able to get around like you do and to get to take photos like this! The tree stuck against the rock at the top gives an idea of how big this water fall is. Was there a way down so one can take a photo of the falls from a low angle? That must be a fantastic view. Keep up the good work! :-)

I would have expected greater depth of field with that f-stop, iso and shutter speed! Love to shoot something like this. What would you do if you had another chance?
