Here you see one of the Crazy Horse Memorial Rangers posing in front of the massive carving. If you zoom you may be able to see the bulldozer which is used to push the spoil down the mountain. As Wayne (whaleman) has noticed, I have put some of these up before but have enhanced them a little.

Am not sure where I sit on mankind carving himself into the landscape - there's plenty enough evidence of our existence as it is. No denying that this is an impressive feat however, and you captured it well.
