Description

...still doing some pre-spring file cleaning. Found this fine figured North American 'Common Grackle' in a 2009 file. ...he can't sing a note. Grackles are not known for their songs, but for having loud scratchy voices and squawking cries.

Yes--lovely blue-black coloring--we have grackels here in Mexico also--altho they seem larger and louder and more interested in each other--thank goodness--nice shot there!

An excellent capture Bill and a must zoom of this iridescent beauty!! Key West is a great spot but some areas with very narrow strets. If you are going to RV down, and I think I remember that you tow a car, you might want to camp before Key West and drive down each day. If I can be of any help about south Florida, ask away.
