Description

John Waterhouse is one of those artists that has always inspired me, either directly or indirectly. I decided to try my hand at recreating one of my favorites "The Crystal Ball". It's not exactly like it, I don't have the necessary resources, but hopefully I captured the spirit. I created the architecture and table, the chair and book are freebies, the lantern is from Phil and the character is from Daz. This was set up and rendered in Vue10. Thanks!!

Beautiful texturing throughout and the lighting shows it. I also like the detail of shadows like at the base of the table; slightly darker and grounding the image in realism. Brilliant!!!!

Fabulous work! This is a great scene and nice work on the table. Excellent render and great level of realism. John Waterhouse rings a bell in my head, but I'm going to have to look him up for a reminder.
